Sue Malleson was born into a family
already ensconced in the folk revival. As one third of girl harmony
group 'The Cedarfolk' in the mid sixties, Sue became big in North
Bedfordshire. Fame however was short-lived and for much of the
seventies, eighties and nineties Sue sang solo unaccompanied songs of
unrequited love, usually in a minor key. Having mastered
claw-hammer and three chords, Sue cast the guitar aside relatively early
in her career, to take up about ten years ago a pair of soup spoons
purchased in Castle's Store, Stony Stratford.
Sue sang in Stantonbuty Drama Group's production of
"Candleford" and joined the 'Living Archive Band' in 1999 for
"All Change", finally achieving the pinnacle of personal
ambition - to sing backing vocals for a world-class line-up.
