From picking up the guitar
in his teens Kevin Adams has gone on to add most things with strings to his list of 'must-haves'. Playing fiddle and
mandolin for traditional dance has been a major preoccupation for the past
decade or so, but writing for and performing in various Living Archive
ventures has provided a welcome balance (and swing) to this since his
first
involvement in 1994's "Worker By Name".
With ceilidh band Stocai
and electric ceilidh band Stömp Kevin has
appeared at many major festivals throughout England, and has played in
France, Germany and Belgium. Both bands have recorded CDs which have been
well received here, on the continent and in the States. When the
distractions of playing in four or five bands allow, Kevin runs a violin
repair business.
