Dave Watson

Dave Watson grew up in Stevenage and started playing percussion at the age of twelve performing in youth and senior school and town orchestras and with the 'Herts County Youth Orchestra' which included a tour of Ireland and a Radio Three broadcast. His first band 'The Fishcakes' was formed when Dave was sixteen and still at school.  He spent four years playing every teenage party going reaching the dizzy height of fame when 'Fishcakes' were billed to appear at the Windsor Free Festival.  Maternal disapproval precluded the band's appearance!

While at college Dave belonged to various short-lived bands, including a twice weekly nightclub spot. He moved to Leighton Buzzard in 1979 and started depping for 'Sunday Suits & Muddy Boots' during 1980s.  At some point (memory of the precise moment eludes him), Dave joined the band permanently playing at Towersey and Beverley festivals and also providing the music for productions at Stantonbury Campus Theatre.  Dave has played in various Milton Keynes Productions including several years with 'Wolverton Gilbert & Sullivan Society' and occasional performances with 'The Secklow Band'.  He joined the 'Living Archive Band' in 2000 and also plays sometimes with soul band 'Up all Night'.
