| Brought up in a family of folk callers and
dancers, Andrew was exposed to music from a very early age. Studying classical
music, he became frustrated with the routine and rigidity of his formal
training, so he threw away the books and taught himself to play all styles of
modern and traditional music. Andrew has directed and played in several groups,
including for an American music company where he met Shahnaz and has been
involved in the local music scene for over twenty years. While all styles
present different levels of enjoyment, Andrew still prefers to play R&B and
soul to most others. |
